Australian regional airline Regional Express, known as Rex, has gone into voluntary administration.

However, regional planes are still flying as scheduled, the airline said.

But all Regional Express domestic flights between major cities are cancelled.

Rex announced an expansion into major destination routes in 2020, with 737 flights to capital cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane.

But it struggled after the pandemic.

What happens if you have a Rex Airlines flight booked

It depends. If you were due to fly between Aussie cities, the flight is cancelled.

The full list of cancelled flights is: Melbourne to Canberra, Brisbane, Coolangatta Gold Coast, Hobart, Sydney and Perth.

Fights from Sydney to Brisbane, Coolangatta Gold Coast and Adelaide are also off.

The Brisbane to Adelaide and Cairns flights are also cancelled, as is Adelaide to Perth.
